In collaboration with the Greater Houston Restaurant Association and Houston’s main Culinary Schools (Conrad N. Hilton College – University of Houston, Art Institute, and LeNôtre) the Italia-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas is proud to organize Italian Gourmet Foods Master Class.
The classes will be dedicated to chefs, restaurateurs, importers, culinary school students, food&wine journalists and bloggers. This educational event will grant the opportunity to learn in depth about identifying the authenticity, traceability, quality control, pairing, and region specification of Italian products. There will be an emphasis on IDP and DOP products, thanks to the attendance of experts from Grana Padano and Piave Cheese Consorta, that form part of the AICIG.
Two sessions will be held for your convenience, on Thursday, September 22nd in the morning and in the afternoon. The event will take place at the Houston Chronicle – Event Center.
Through the Extraordinary Italian Taste campaign, IACC Texas will be a sponsor of the third edition of the event The Culinary Stars on September 21st (www.houstonculinarystars.com). The event will be hosted by Restaurant Critic Alison Cook, author of Houston’s top 100 restaurants. During this day, a preview of the Master Class will take place between 6:00pm and 9:00pm, and will be open to the public and professionals.
