Production Supervisor & Planner - Knowledge of Italian language is a huge plus

Our client is the market leader in Screw Conveyors and a top player in the field of Bulk Solids Handling & Processing Equipment. The company was founded in Italy in 1969 and currently employs over 2,100 people at more than 60 locations in 40 countries.
The U.S. subsidiary started operations almost 30 years ago and presently it has 2 manufacturing facilities with over 60 employees. The U.S. branch is also the market leader for the Screw Conveyors in the concrete industry.

The client is looking for a Production Supervisor & Planner to improve effectiveness and efficiency in one of the two U.S. plants.
Your great supervising skills will allow you to complete productions plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress and adapt the production plans to possible revisions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. You are also a great communicator and able to report results of the processing flow on production meetings. You are also a goal oriented person so you maintain work flows by monitoring the several steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, implement and promote cost reductions, develop reporting procedures, improve process control points. Your excellent leading skills will allow you to initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments as well as initiate and promote change that would help improving process efficiency and quality of the products. Interaction with Shop Foreman to assure on time and quality delivery of the products is nonetheless very important. Another important task will be to establish and enforce company standards in order to deliver highest quality products and provide manufacturing information. Last but most important, your goal is to maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing the staff on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on attitude is mandatory.
- Metal fabrication background is mandatory. Experience in machining is a plus.
- 5-7 years of relevant job experience in Production Planning & Supervision of a team of workers in fabrication and/or machine shops.
- Knowledge of reading and understanding drawings.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Italian language is a huge plus.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to travel throughout the country to solve quality issues.
