Eataly Dallas hosts “Every Day in Lombardy” as part of Taste of Italy fair.

What a wonderful turnout for our “Every Day in Lombardy” seminar by Italian food and wine historian Jeremy Parzen at Eataly in Dallas, presented by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Texas and its Taste of Italy Trade fair on October 8, 2024!

Although most know Jeremy as a food and wine educator, he also holds a doctorate in Italian and has written widely on Italian history and culture. For years now, his interest in Lombardy wines has also led him to visit and experience the region’s cultural capitals.

Jeremy (above, far right) spoke for more than an hour about the many “off the beaten path” destinations, like the city of Pavia and its many culinary treasures or Valtellina where some of Italy’s best red wines are made and where visitors enjoy hiking, cycling, and Alpine views.

For the occasion, the Regione Lombardia, the seminar’s sponsor, shared the following video, which was played continuously during Jeremy’s talk so that seminar participants could see some of the sights awaiting Lombardy-bound travelers. And to give those in attendance a true taste of Lombardy, thinly sliced bresaola — Valtellina’s classic air-dried beef — were served accompanied by a Nebbiolo wine from one of Valtellina’s most celebrated wineries.

Thank you to the Regione Lombardia for proposing this wonderful seminar. And thank you to everyone who attended and made it a standing-room-only event!

Taste of Italy is the largest trade fair in the U.S. devoted exclusively to Italian food and wine.

This campaign was conceived with the contribution of Regione Lombardia.
