The staff of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas shares in the deep sorrow of the family of Salvador Cocco, who tragically lost his life after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle.
The accident occurred in Fort Myers, Florida last April 11.
A graduate of Bocconi University in Milan and an entrepreneur, Salvador, 61, originally from Thiesi, had long been based in Florida for professional reasons, where he passionately led the expansion of an international dairy group with deep roots in Sardinia. Together with his wife, he was the founder of Pansardo/Deliziosi, a company specializing in the import and distribution of Sardinian cheeses and high-quality specialty food products in the United States.
A strong advocate of Made in Italy—especially products from his beloved Sardinia—Salvador firmly believed in the importance of building a solid network among Italian businesses in the United States. He was a determined and generous entrepreneur, always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others in the industry.
Pansardo/Deliziosi consistently took part with enthusiasm in the activities of IACC Texas; as recently as late January, Salvador joined a group of professionals in an incoming mission to Bari for an Olive Oil trade fair, once again demonstrating his commitment to promoting Italian excellence.
A passionate entrepreneur and tireless traveler, Salvador leaves a profound void.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Vanna and his three beloved children, Sebastiano, Maddalena, and Mariagrazia.
