The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas was pleased to present a Sicilian Wines Master Class.
The Houston event was led by Jaime De Leon, Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and Regional Buyer and Wine Program Manager for Kroger. The event took place on Monday, October 17, at 5:00 p.m. at Roma Restaurant in Houston.
The Dallas event was presented on Thursday, October 20, at 5:00 p.m. by Italian wine expert Aldo Bove, Educator and Manager for Above Wines. The event was held at Eataly.
Both events featured wines from leading Sicilian wineries Cambria and Maduado.
Among the labels tasted were wines made from Sicily’s Nocera grape. This variety, once considered a second-tier grape, has gained significant attention from grape growers and winemakers, who value its remarkable acidity—an element that has helped the wines retain their freshness during the long, hot summers of recent years.
The events were open to qualified wine industry professionals and media.
