On September 19 and 20, the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce South Central will be co-presenting two olive oil events in New Orleans.
The first is an olive oil tasting led by olive oil expert Franco Denari of Zucchi 1810, one of the most formidable authorities on olive oil and olive oil tasting working in the U.S. today.
The tasting will be held at the Culinary Innovation Center at the Southern Food & Beverage Museum and is open to the public.

All are encouraged to attend and the museum will be waiving its entrance fee that day so that participants can also tour the exhibits free of charge.
The second event will be an Olive Oil Master Class led by Denari and acclaimed New Orleans mixologist Laura Bellucci. For their class, Bellucci and Denari will be discussing the use of olive oil as an ingredient in cocktails and creative ways to pair olive oil with cocktails and cocktail-friendly foods. Light bites will be served as part of the session, which will be held at the Belle Époque Absinthe Lounge.
This event is part of the Tales of the Cocktail festival (now returning in a hybrid virtual/in-person format).
