On Thursday, June 3, the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce South Central (IACC) will be co-presenting a series of Authentic Italian Table educational events at Eataly in Dallas, the gourmet market chain’s most recent location and the first to open in Texas.
From 12-6 p.m., shoppers will have the opportunity to sample authentic Italian food products at a number of stations set up throughout the store. Each station will be staffed with an Italian food specialist who will present and answer questions about the foods.
At 4 and 5.30 p.m., select food professionals and food-focused media members (including journalists, bloggers, and influencers) will be invited to attend a Masterclass on authentic Italian food products led by an Eataly specialist and educator.
And then at 7 p.m., guests will be welcomed at one of the market’s restaurants, Terra, for an invite-only dinner presented by the Italian Foreign Ministry and the Consul General of Italy in Houston, together with the IACC.
Not only will the menu feature authentic Italian food products selected specially for the occasion, including Prosciutto di Parma PDO, Pecorino Toscano PDO, and wines from Bocale, Umbria. But it will also include some of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area’s leading Italian chefs.
