This year the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of the Texas will proudly sponsor the 2016 Texas-EU Business Summit, the fifth edition of this premier event dedicated to all the Texas entrepreneurs and economic development professionals that aim to expand their business in Europe. The summit sessions are led by business leaders, trade and investment officials from EU countries, trade policy experts and political officials, that can provide all the information and the connections required to perform at best such great opportunity of expansion.
Texas is already the largest exporting state to the EU, in 2015 the exports exceeded $27 billion, divided mainly in 5 sectors: petroleum and coal products (22.7%), chemicals (22.7%), computers and electronics (15.0%), transportation equipment (10.0%), and machinery (8.1%). Furthermore, Texas is poised to be a major beneficiary of the latest trade agreement proposal (TTIP) between Europe and USA, so the opportunities and benefits of business expansion in EU are going to increase in the future.
