With the Summer edition of our E-Newsletter Passaparola Buzz 2.0, I would like to take the opportunity to wish happy holidays to our friends in Italy and a happy back to school to our friends in the United States.
Donning the banner of The Extraordinary Italian Taste, supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and in collaboration with Assocamerestero, we have passionately dedicated time and effort towards the promotion of authentic Italian products. The campaign reached the public during the Wine&Food week event at The Woodlands. As per the food & wine professionals, we brought American buyers to Fiera Cibus in Parma and Balsamic Vinegar Cellars in the province of Modena.
Recently, we also hosted trading shows for Italy with furniture firms from Lombardy, biomedical technologies from Piedmont, and wine producers from Sannio, located in the region of Campania.
Amidst the heat of the Texan summer, we continue to work arduously on promotional activities tied to campaigns in the coming months. In fact, we will be promoting authentic Italian products in September during our Master Class. An educational event dedicated to restaurant professionals. Also, we will be sponsors of the event The Culinary Stars, were the Master Class will be officially presented. During this event, the main local newspaper Houston Chronicle will award the best 100 restaurants of the city. Continuing the thematic of Italian food & wine authenticity, we will be participating in the tasting eventZest in the West presented by Kroger. To close with a flourish, the Italian Restaurant Week will be taking place during mid-November.
For the Italian producers interested in meeting buyers and importers, the dates of the third edition of the trade show Taste of Italy Houston (March 5-6, 2017) are set. In addition, we have more great news. In partnership with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West, we added a date in Los Angeles,March 8.
In collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Udine, we will be hosting a new trading show dedicated to different industries. This campaign will be followed by a project that will bring buyers from Texas in the mechanical, mechatronic, and oil dynamics sectors to the Province of Reggio Emilia.
I give a warm welcome to our new 10 members that have recently become part of our community.
