2015 is the year in which Italy sold almost 40 Bln. of Usd to US, the best performance since 2010 (worst year for Italy in US with only 24 Bln): we sell 10 Bln. of machinery and and technologies, 6 Bln. of fashion, 5 Bln. of food; 3 Bln. of design and so on. There are a few key factors: American customers are choosing Italian because of style, innovation and quality and they want products that can feel as unique and different together with high performance. Then at last the exchange rate that is affecting only 2015. The State of Texas is 4th among the US’ States for import from Italy (around 2,9 Bln and 9%) and for years the Italian Trade Agency worked through the US’ offices of NYC, LA, Chicago and Miami. With the reopening of the Houston’s office we recovered this gap and we will be in charge for the entire US of aerospace, jewelry, machinery and we will cover also projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, matching the competences of the Consulate General of Italy in Houston.
