We are thrilled to announce that celebrity pitmaster Ara Malekian of Harlem Road Texas BBQ will be joining us for the Houston Pasta Festival on Sunday, May 19 at the Bayou City Events Center (1-4 p.m.).
A pitmaster at the Houston Pasta Festival, you ask?
The Houston Chronicle has called Malekian “Houston’s global pitmaster”: Many don’t realize that his background is actually in haute cuisine and that he lived and worked around the world before settling in Texas.
He still hasn’t revealed exactly what pasta he is going to be serving at this year’s gathering. But he hinted that it will probably be a raviolo stuffed with a smoked meat.
Whatever it is, we know it’s going to be delicious! Please join us on Sunday, May 19 for the Houston Pasta Festival and taste with Chef Malekian, just one of the 20+ restaurateurs who will be sharing their favorite pasta dishes.
The event is underwritten by the Italian government’s True Italian Taste campaign, which promotes awareness of authentic Italian food and wine products and authentic Italian foodways.
