Helping our Community

The small town of Ascoli Piceno, nestled in the mountains 3 hours North-East of Rome, was devasted following the earthquakes of 2016. The Italian people, spread across the globe, sprang into action to help rebuild and restore their small towns.

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas enthusiastically contributed to such efforts and was able to assist the “Mazzocchi-Umberto I” Institute of Higher Learning, which focuses on biotechnology and public industries. Two state of the art microscopes, pictured below, were donated to further the education of biotechnology students and broaden their potential.

The IACC Texas is thankful for Alessandra Costantini, Nazario D’Amato, and every professor at “Mazzocchi-Umberto I” who came together for the benefit of their students and their community.
